Top Medical Apps on Android in Kenya: Q2 2025 Performance

As the demand for medical apps continues to grow in Kenya, the second quarter of 2025 showcased interesting trends among the top-performing applications on the Android platform. This analysis, powered by Sensor Tower, highlights the key metrics for the top five medical apps.

Afyangu experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 7.9K at the end of March and peaking at 15.7K in early June. Despite this growth in downloads, no revenue data was reported for this period.

Smart Access ! had a fluctuating download pattern, initially dropping from 2.8K to just over 100 downloads in early April, before recovering to 2.2K by the end of June. The app maintained a steady number of active users, starting at 57.3K and reaching nearly 49.9K by the quarter's end.

HIV-TEST saw a varied download trend, with a significant spike to 3.1K in mid-June. Active user numbers showed a positive trend, increasing from 5.6K to over 11.7K in mid-June before stabilizing around 7.7K.

Ayuda Health - Pill Reminder had a steady increase in downloads, starting at 204 and reaching 763 by early June. Active user data was not available for this app.

Microphone Amplifier maintained consistent revenue, with minor fluctuations around $3 to $4 weekly. Downloads increased steadily from 163 in late March to 353 by the end of June. Active users also showed growth, ending the quarter at 656.
